Conan O'Brien
As expected, Conan O'Brien's last week as host on The Tonight Show turned out being his best.
Conan O'Brien Gets Best Ratings
Conan had a terrific final week, with his final showing bringing in a whopping ten-million viewers.
On Friday, O'Brien's last stand on The Tonight Show, featuring appearances from Tom Hanks and Steve Carell, averaged a big 4.4 rating in the demo and 10.3 million viewers overall, coming in about 15% above the host's opening-night demo numbers on Tonight in June (3.8 in 18-49, 9.2 million viewers). While these numbers might not seem all that high for you who adore American Idol, this is top-notch for the late night window.
It won't last, however, as Jay Leno returns to the slot on March 1st and I'm expecting that damage control will last up to summer.
